I've been thinking about maps (and the desert which generally speaking has no reason to be mapped except to get across it) so your piece is doubly interesting to me.
I like the hill on the left as part of your primary concept (Lay of the Land) as well. I only wish I could see it in person -- or barring that, in sections -- ie larger.
It is just beautiful and I have enjoyed seeing the progress of the making of your masterpiece. I love the way your mind works and the planning of your urban landscape.
Valerie, you've done it again. This is so different, yet it has your "fingerprint" all over it. Wonderful job of integrating everything and I love the way you have varied the scale. Lucky is the person who has commissioned this piece!
Congratulations, Valerie! It looks marvelous. I wish I could see it in person. Can't wait til your workshop in CA! deb

Nice.
Looks great. The colors are lovely and I love the way my eyes dance around from one panel to the next finding new parts to admire each time.
